Privacy Policy

Last updated July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information DincoloDe collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using DincoloDe, you agree to the practices described here and in our Terms of Service.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information: email address, display name, and password (stored securely, never in plain text).
  • Profile information: role, cancer type, diagnosis stage, and bio — all optional except what's required to complete onboarding.
  • Content you create: posts, comments, messages, group memberships, milestones, and uploaded images.
  • Wellness data: mood check-ins and journal entries, which are private to you by default and only visible to you.

2. Sensitive health information

Cancer type, diagnosis stage, mood check-ins, and journal entries are sensitive health information. We treat this data with extra care: journal entries and mood check-ins are protected so that only you can read them, and your cancer type/stage are only used to suggest relevant support groups — you choose whether to share that information at all, and whether to auto-join suggested groups.

3. How we use your information

  • To operate the community: posts, comments, messaging, groups, and notifications
  • To suggest relevant support groups based on the diagnosis info you choose to share
  • To keep the platform safe (moderation of reported content)
  • To send you notifications about activity relevant to you (which you can manage)

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your session. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

5. Who can see your information

Posts you share in the main community feed (not posted within a specific group) are visible to anyone who visits the site, including people who aren't signed in — this lets people considering joining see what real conversations look like before creating an account. These pages are marked so search engines don't index them. Group posts remain visible only to members of that group, and require signing in to view. Comments and likes follow the same visibility as the post they're on. Messages are visible only to the people in that conversation. Mood check-ins and journal entries are visible only to you.

6. Your rights

You can edit or delete your posts, comments, milestones, journal entries, and mood check-ins at any time from within the app. You can request a copy or deletion of your account data by contacting us.

7. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed within a reasonable time, except where we're required to retain it by law.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date.

9. Contact
